HALO Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

HALO is an award-winning multi-rotor UAV developed for Security & Defence applications. Its coaxial tri-rotor configuration makes it portable yet versatile, giving it the ability to hover, perch and manoeuvre in very confined spaces such as the urban environment. With its 3 on-board cameras (including thermal imaging technology) sending video back in real-time, the operator can assess any potentially hostile environments before having to enter them. HALO initially competed in the MoD’s 2008 Grand Challenge and went on to win DARPA’s UAV Forge Challenge in 2012.
